GRAYSON HUGH with POLLY MESSER Live in a Music At The Meetinghouse Concert

Internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter and pianist Grayson Hugh will be appearing in concert at First Church Of Christ, 2183 Main Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033 on Saturday February 22, 2025. Performing with Hugh is his wife singer Polly Messer, formerly of the popular swing band Eight To The Bar.

The concert will be from 7:30 to 8:30pm, followed by a reception with the artists in Shultz Hall where CDs may be purchased and signed by Grayson. A donation of $15 per person is suggested. There is limited seating, so we suggest you arrive early to guarantee your seat.

Grayson and Polly will be performing a combination of Grayson's international hits from radio and films as well as some new songs from Grayson's upcoming record "Save Your Love For Me" which features some of the top artists in Roots music.

Grayson Hugh first burst on the music scene with his 1988 RCA album “Blind To Reason”, which earned him comparisons to soul greats such as Sam Cooke and Otis Redding. The record also contained songs that would climb the R & B and Pop charts such as “Talk It Over”, “Bring It All Back”, and “How Bout Us”(duet with Betty Wright). “Blind To Reason” went Gold in the U.S. and overseas. In addition, Hugh’s live shows wowed audiences around the world with his passionate soulful singing and masterful piano playing.

His second release “Road To Freedom” on MCA in 1992 was called one of that year’s Top Ten Albums by Billboard Magazine. Songs from that record were featured in the Oscar-winning films “Thelma and Louise” and “Fried Green Tomatoes”.
