Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and virtuoso piano player is appearing as Special Guest with David Stoltz's Flying Monkey Blues Band Sunday June 28th, 2026. Showtime is 5:30pm. Grayson Hugh is known for his global radio hits "Talk It Over", "Bring It All Back", "How Bout Us" and country-soul and roots country-rock songs in the 1991 Oscar-winning film "Thelma and Louise" as well as his featured songs in another Oscar winner "Fried Green Tomatoes" and the 1990 Sundance award winner "True Love". His songs have been called "a Soul-Rock stew with a dash of Blues and a pinch of Country thrown in" (Stone Phillips, The Today Show, NBC) and his piano playing "a veritable cyclone of soul, drawing its energy from such diverse regions as the swampland funk of Professor Longhair, the testifying soul of Ray Charles, with a twangy taste of Floyd Cramer and rhythms of African drumming and American bluegrass thrown in the fascinating mix." - Benny Metten, Ctrl. Alt. Country, August, 2010 David Stoltz co-founded legendary band Portrait Blues with Grayson in 1969 before going on to tour the U.S. and overseas with former Allman Brothers frontman Dickie Betts as well as extensively performing with co-founder of The Allman Brothers Jai Johanny Johanson and his current group known as Jaimoe's Jasssz Band. Rounding out The Flying Monkey Blues Band is veteran guitarist/singer Mark "Nomad" Malucci and drummer Tyger MacLean, who has also played and recorded with Grayson Hugh.
